Septoplasty

Septoplasty is a surgical procedure designed to correct a deviated septum, the cartilage and bone that divides the nasal cavity into two nostrils. A deviated septum can lead to nasal obstruction, difficulty breathing, chronic sinus issues, snoring, and other related symptoms.

During septoplasty, the surgeon reshapes or removes parts of the septum to straighten and reposition it, improving airflow through the nose. This procedure can help alleviate nasal congestion, enhance breathing, reduce snoring, and potentially improve the quality of life for individuals with a deviated septum. Septoplasty is typically performed as an outpatient procedure under general anesthesia by an ear, nose, and throat specialist (ENT), with most patients experiencing relief from nasal symptoms and improved nasal function following a successful surgery and recovery process.
